Nothing new. And more disconcerting is that this book is a long-winded sales pitch for his marketing company. It’s definitely not for authors that are looking for the secret code to get lots of sales or even followers. It’s regurgitated basics we all know to undertake: sale on Amazon, do an audiobook, join Facebook groups, etc etc.much of the book is spent telling you why you should write a book and how easy it is now. Everyone needs to write a book! That is the takeaway from this book...oh...and to use this authors promotion company to advertise your book once you get yours done. There are so many contradictions and useless info that I’m mad I finished it. He comments he spent $25,000 to get his book out, but hey, you can still get your book done if you have a low budget of only a few thousand dollars! What? Uhhh....yeah, what indie author even has $20 to spare? My point is I was hoping for a book to give me solid pointers in increasing my visibility and sales. This is not that book. The author spends a lot of time giving you anecdotal information that points back to his promo company. At one point he even says don’t waste your time with Twitter, yet at end of book implores you to follow him on Twitter and stresses this is the best place to contact him. ohhhh, and he even makes the comment that direct sales of your book is not the point. Your book should drive sales to your other business (yeah, like your promo company!) again, if you’re a fiction author or any author that isn’t involved in putting out a book for your day job, then skip this one! I got two things from this book, and only one I plan to use. 1-Found out Chrome Google Docs had voice to text (rarely used goggle docs or chrome browser) and I started using it tonight.2-someone explained why an author might choose to give away HUNDREDS of free books-to get them higher on amazon rankings, then actually charge a price and your books will show up for more people in general increasing your chance of a paid buy. This advice I'm not taking as the book industry ruined it self when authors devalued their work buy giving it away for free SO widely. Writing a GOOD book is an art just like any other and a price of 2.99 to 5.99 is well worth it to read what someone put months and sometimes years of manpower in, not to mention the money for editing, formatting, covers and marketing. If a person refuses to pay the =to coffee and way less than a pack of cigs well then they don't need to read an authors work. To be fair authors did this to themselves and Amazon helped wanting folks to buy their e-readers and come on their site for free books and then run off to BUY other products. This book is a shame, to entice all the other would be writers, I read the whole short book and still have 0 clue how he claims (with zero marketing 1st book) to sell 10,000 copies

This isn't bad book, I found two good nuggets. This book is part of a marketing funnel to get your email address, which is pretty common and doesn't bother me.
I love staying on top of the industry so I bought and read this entire book as soon as I saw it.Jesse gives some really good tips to get your book written and published - easily.I love his launch strategy and how he gets reviews.I would say you should buy a copywriting book in addition to this one so you learn how to create a killer title, subtitle, and description.
