I am very impressed with this book. Not only is it a well-researched, theoretically grounded treatise on architect-led development projects, it also provides real-world practical advice on how to get started with a project yourself. James is a lovely young man, who has written a terrific book.There are so few books on the topic, I'm glad that someone has tackled this subject area, and given it a thorough explanation.
If you are an architect interested in developing your own projects, this is the book for you. Finally, a book about an architect as developer! It should be essential reading for any architect frustrated with traditional practice. The book is easy to read and filled with ideas and stories of different architects and how they finance projects. There is a good step by step process on how to take control of the process, and some awesome interviews with the best architect developers today!
This is exactly the resource I've been looking for on how to develop projects as an architect. It's so comprehensive. The author has put together an incredible amount of knowledge and information here. The interviews with the architect-developers are eye-opening and inspiring. Would give this book 6 stars if that was an option.
